I’m old.

It’s official. I got married and aged a bajillion years.

I know. I hear you saying, “Brooke, you’re crazy.” BUT IT’S TRUE! Here’s why.

1. I am getting bunions. Ugh. Enough said.

2. The other day, I fell while walking my dog. Just slipped down a hill and landed on my bum. Now, I haven’t fallen like that since I was a little kid. It all happened so fast I didn’t realize what was going on! One minute I was walking Kylie; the next I was sitting in the mud. Honestly…what has happened to my sense of balance?

3. I loaded wet clothes from the washer into the dryer one night last week. And forgot to turn on the dryer.

4. I can no longer sleep in on weekends. Jon slept until noon yesterday. I was up before 8.

Okay, this list is depressing me, so I’m going to stop. There is one redeeming factor to all this–Jon has five years on me. So ha!

This makes me smile.

I know, I know…I’ve been MIA for two weeks. And I’m probably going to be MIA for a little bit more because I just want to relax and bask in married bliss. It feels WONDERFUL–I really don’t think our wedding could have been more perfect, and it just keeps getting better.

But of course, the to-do list isn’t over–we’re still working on thank you notes, changing my name at all the important places, and redoing our kitchen thanks to all the great gifts we received from our amazing friends and family. So although I plan on giving you a full update on our wedding and honeymoon (which was simply sublime), it might take me a little while.
